Photography Product Assignment B00133634 Iqrah Muhammad       Proposal (Define) The product I am going to photograph is a bottle of Barbican Malt Drink. The manufacturer for this drink is Aujan Industries For this I will attempt to create a refreshing photograph with the bottle as the main subject and have some slices of lemon around the bottle. The target audience for this would be anyone from about 10 years old onwards because it is a non-alcoholic malt drink, it is a great drink for people who do not drink alcohol because the shape of the bottle is quite similar to any other beer. You may see this advert online, on billboards and tv. The reason I have chosen this brand is because it is not recognised enough although you do see the advert promoting it sometimes it is not a widely known beverage. The lighting I am going to use is a ring light and two soft boxes. I am quite lucky to have some professional lighting equipment to use for this a...

NEW CAMERA!!!

Image
As a Birthday gift I had received a Nikon D3100 which is really lovely . It has been Quite a change from the Nikon D60 i have been using on loan from the college. These are a couple of shots i took of a friend whilst experimenting with lights with my new camera and im quite pleased with how they turned out. The drastic change between the quality of the cameras is shocking. Now being able to use my new camera has certainly made me more confident in my photographs that i take.

I really like the white background and the contrast with the  tic tac colours make it really pop. I was drawn to this because of the style the photograph has been taken, the lipstick is a matte colour and the paper behind it compliments it really well and the lighting is quite soft. I love the black background and the way the light shines on the can with the water droplets, there is a hard light coming from the right side which illuminates the coke can.

Recreating Portrait Image

Recreating Portrait Image Recreating this image was fun and it gave me more insight and challenge to expand on my creativity. The issues I had whilst recreating the image was trying to get the shadows correctly positioned on the subject's face. I had used the bottom of an old wicker basket to try get the shadows shapes. I had initially used a colander but unfortunately the depth of the colander was creating difficulties to capture the shot. The lighting I used was a 8" ring light, I stuck it onto the side of the wall above the subject. I also used a torch positioned high above the subject in front of them towards the left, while placing the bottom of the wicker basket in front to get the shadows on the subjects face. I would've liked the shadows to have been more brighter but for my first attempt at recreating an image I feel I did well.  ( Unedited Image)

Portrait Photography 10% Lab  Butterfly  This photograph I  found easier to capture. We can see the shadow underneath the nose which looks almost like a butterfly.                                 Remembrant This shot was a little bit tricky, I will definitely practise this style more to perfect it. there is still light on the side of the face with some shadow.        Broad This  photograph has one side of the subjects face with more light. I feel I did quite well with this photograph and of course with more practise it will get better. Split This was a simple photo to capture, half the subjects face has a shadow cast on it and the other half has a nice brightness to it creating that split effect. Loop This photo was a bit tricky to capture, it was all about finding that balance with the light to be able to create that loop effect after a while I  managed...
