Recreating Portrait Image

 Recreating Portrait Image

Recreating this image was fun and it gave me more insight and challenge to expand on my creativity.
The issues I had whilst recreating the image was trying to get the shadows correctly positioned on the subject's face. I had used the bottom of an old wicker basket to try get the shadows shapes. I had initially used a colander but unfortunately the depth of the colander was creating difficulties to capture the shot.
The lighting I used was a 8" ring light, I stuck it onto the side of the wall above the subject. I also used a torch positioned high above the subject in front of them towards the left, while placing the bottom of the wicker basket in front to get the shadows on the subjects face.
I would've liked the shadows to have been more brighter but for my first attempt at recreating an image I feel I did well.
